Overview
Spring Awakening is a Tony Award-winning rock musical that explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood. The musical is based on the 1891 German play of the same name by Frank Wedekind. It features music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater. The musical is set around the turn of the century and follows the story of young lovers as they learn to communicate and love in a world that tries to keep them apart.
